The paper describes historical facts connected with modernisation of morally obsolete aviation fleet of Slovak air weapons through a purchase of modern air equipment in Germany. The author outlines events occurred during the official trip of the Slovak Commission to Germany and Denmark in May 1942 when the Commission negotiated issues of the purchase and delivery of fighters of Messerschmitt Bf 109 E type and inspected the Slovak Training Squadron in Danish Grove. The purchase of modern fighters Bf 109 E as well as training of necessary air personnel then allowed to the Slovak Aviation Command in summer 1942 to put together a front aviation unit that since November 1942 to October 1943 with success operated in the section of the eastern front in a composition of German 52 Fighter Squadron.
