Analysing the religious press in the World War I the authoress pointed out that the religious press by the material selection, but also by the vocabulary choice created a picture of the Slovak-soldier, the soldier-Christian fighting in fronts for the Hungarian homeland and for the hope that in the conclusion the war will bring a new world order. She states that the religious press stressed the fact that all are suffering from the war. The common suffering should have been a price for future post-war orders, in which in addition to other nations also Slovaks expect a more rightful position. She stressed the social aspect of the military suffering. There were many families directly affected by war consequences in Slovakia.
