 The study deals with an issue of the Slovak-German Agreement on Combat Chemical Materials of August 18, 1939 that was so far perceived only marginally (the exact title of the Agreement was: „The A g r e e m e n t on Dismantlement and Transportation of Facilities for Combat Materials Production and Storage.“). The study shows discussions that led to signing of this Agreement, the majority of which was so far unknown to the Slovak and also foreign historiography. The authors point out that a new version of the Agreement was prepared by the German Party already on July 20, 1939. After contributing with further papers (based on Slovak-German discussions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bratislava on August 10 and 11, 1939) it was signed on August 18 for the German side by Lt-Gen F. Barckhausen and for the Slovak side – by Prime Minister J. Tiso. „The Agreement on Dismantlement and Transportation of Facilities for Combat Materials Production and Storage“ contained 12 articles.
