The study analyses some as yet unprocessed aspects of the German-Slovak military relationships during the World War II. The heuristic base follows mostly from the original archival research. The study is divided in two sub-chapters. In the first one, the author outlines the process of dominance over the armament industry in the central Váh River valley after the breakup of C-SR. This issue is monitored within a broader context, at the background of creating a satellite relationship between the German Empire and the Slovak State in the period starting from March 1939. The author manages to persuasively describe the process of dominance over the Slovak arms factories by Germans through taking over the management of large concerns in the Czech countries. In the second part of the study, the author focuses more on the specific issues of armament production in the given period. The most useful knowledge in this area was acquired through the author’s own research, especially in the corporate archives of the Czech armament concerns. The study also describes the dynamics of changes in the focus of production capacities and production programs of the armament factories in Dubnica and P. Bystrica after being taken over by Germans. It is also stated that the character of production was only changing slowly, namely under the influence of the outburst of the World War II. Therefore, the German pressure on the restriction of trade exchange with foreign countries and the takeover of German weapon models production was only rising gradually.
