The author analyses one of the internal functions of the army, that acts in extraordinary situations caused by the natural disasters (e.g. wide floods). There were a lot of such events in the 50 s. The author analyses in his work the preparation and the process of the rescue in concrete regions, the structure of the troops involved in the action, usage of military' technique, munition, weapons and other military stuff. The author also deals with the questions concerning the cooperation of the troops with the civil components and state institutions before and during the rescue actions.
