The content of the study is focused on the history of German fighter type Messerschmit Bf 109 E in Slovak Air forces , which in the period 1942 – 1944 belonged to the armaments of the fighter fleet 13, the most successful air force unit in the years of the WWII. The author provides the basic information in the strict chronological order relating to the legendary type of fighter plane that became the first modern combat plane included in the aviation fleet of the Slovak military aviation. Actually, he describes the historical circumstances connected to the modernization of the morally out of date aviation fleet of the Slovak Air forces by purchasing of modern aviation equipment in Germany (purchase and deliveries of the fighter type Messerschmit Bf 109 E , training of the necessary aviation staff in the Danish Grov in the 1. half of the year 1942.). Later, he analyses the question of formation, training and combat action of the fleet number 13 in the East front. The author clarifies also the circumstances relating the foundation of the deployment force sub-flight of Messerschmmitts Bf 109 E, which members , up to the foundation of so called Deployment fleet of the Air forces, were in charge of the protection of the West Slovakia air space against English – American aviation. The scientific study is ended by the description of the circumstances relating to the training of the so called III. Pilots ´s garniture of the fighter type Messerschmit Bf 109 E and by the seizure of the planes by Germans at the airports occupied by them. Military history. Slovakia.
