The author stems from the fact that there had been one the first fortifications realized before the foundation of the central body of the Directory of fortification works in Slovakia in front of the bridge in Petržalka. The Czech-Slovak military administration planned a fortification in the area of CarpathoRuthenia , formerly belonging to Slovakia, yet in the year 1934. It was an application of the Fortification group IV. / 1.department Ministry of National Defense (MND) from 28. December 1943 set up to defense of bridges over the Tis river in Čop, which was an important railway junction. After the cancellation of the Fortification group IV of the department of MND, e.i. . the fortification group of regional headquarters in Slovakia, the above mentioned application on 18.April 1935 at The Directorate of the Fortification Works founded in March 1935.
