The author analyses the historical works of Czech and Slovak writers focused on the wars, he notices the level and the quality of performance of the topic as well as the overall contribution of each of these works, including a textbook, synthesis, studies, scientifi c and popularizing works. He points out the fact that, the most of the attention is drawn to three of Czech historians, Pavel Oliva Panonia and the beginnings of the Fall of Roman Empire (1959), Oldřich Pelikán Slovakia and Roman Empire (1960), Josef Dobiáš The history of Czechoslovak territories before the secession of the Slavs (1964), as he considers them unchallenged for many particular reasons.
