The author deals with the issue of the operations of Th e Slovak Army in the Eastern front in 1941-1943. He focused on the Covering division. Actually, he deals with the description of the historical events immensely infl uencing the lives of the members of the Slovak Covering division in the November 1942. In his work, he chronologically studies the historical events connected with the attack of Russian partisans at a crucial railway bridge over the River Ptič protected by the Slovak military guard- members of II./101 battalion, as well as the liquidation of the squad of infantry lieutenant G. Forgáč. Later, he concentrates on the historical facts related to the occupation of Lojev, by partisan troops of Sidor Artemevič Kovpak, as well as the events of an unequivocally failed attack of the Slovak troops under the command of major of cavalry Ivan Fajnor.
