The released study was translated from Hungarian. The author is a historian from Budapest. The study covers a highly important era of the development of the Land Forces of Monarchy, especially, its Hungarian part, beginning from Austro-Hungarian Compromise leading up to the outbreak of the World War I. The author drew his attention to the organizational changes in the establishment of the Army and defense laws concerned, the participation of the Hungarians in the Armed Forces (the common Army and Honvédség- a part of the Army recruited only from Transleithania) as well as Colonels corps. In line with these facts he led his study into the establishment of the national defense forces, the Army services of Austro-Hungary in the times coming to the breakout of the WWI, violent invasions of Military troops in the Hungary region. In addition, he briefly describes the relation of the Army towards the society.
