The author focuses on the activates of one of the most remarkable personalities of our early- modern history, the representative of well-off Slovak Evangelic yeomanry. The author follows his active participation in the last anti – Habsburg uprisings, when he became renowned for the participation in the uprising of František II Rákoczy, serving in the highest ranks of the uprising Headquarters. In addition, he was in the background of many of the contemporary political decisions. Henceforward he kept his military service and served in many commander’s ranks in the army, despite that the extent is not well known with him. The main target of this work is to present the personality of Juraj Ottlýk in his leading of various troops of military units in the last anti-Habsburg uprising.
