The author deals with a troop that was one of the Czechoslovak Military troops to serve in protection of after-war fortress. The aforesaid 4th Fortress Battalion was to be protecting the area ranging from the delta of The Morava and The Dyje up to the bridgehead in Petržalka, Bratislava. The battalion was formed in 1952. The author reflects its creation from 1952, building, personnel, organizational structure, militarization, training and tasks up to its liquidation that finished 25 November 1955. The study contains picture-gallery appendix.
