The author describes the development of ammunition production in Slovakia from 19th century and its foundation in the company „Patrónka“ Bratislava founded as a branch of a Vienna company Georg Roth & Comp. He focuses on the production and its transformation aft er the decline of the Monarchy. During the period of 1st Czechoslovak republic the branch was taken over by a Czech zbrojovka, a.s. Brno that built a new factory in Povazská Bystrica. In addition he shortly informs on the profi le of the production in the factory, on its reorganization into the Czech zbrojovka Factory II. Považská Bystrica as well as the history of the branch during the war and in the post- war period.
