The author as the member of 1st Czechoslovak partisan brigade of Alexej S. Jegorov tries to summarize his memories as well as the memoirs of his fellows from the 2nd partisan division of Mečislav M. Boginsky during the Slovak National Uprising, more then 64 years thereafter. He includes a paper material of Ladislav Priesol a former commander of staff crew of the partisan division. He focuses on his intensive initiative in an illegal anti-fascist movement from 1939 in Liptov. He cooperated with 5th central leadership of Communist party of Slovakia and a member of revolutionary National council in Ružomberok. After the occupancy of the city by the Germans he decided to actively participate in the fi ghts against them. He was considered a personality in the division. Th e author includes another member of the division– Oldřich Kotouč who supported Ladislav Priesol in his efforts. He was an explorer knowing the Slovak mountains thoroughly. The author emphasises the special importance of the perseverance of original pictures from the time of the active performance of the division. Some of them are attached to the study.
