The present paper deals with the chronology of the first seven days of the Avar siege of Constantinople in 626. In addition to this general description, the author is also concerned with some undiscovered moments of that event. Firstly he discusses the exact position of St. Callinicus Bridge and secondly he analyses the defensive position of the Byzantine ships deployed between two sides of the Golden Horn.
