The author, well-known for his published studies on Czechoslovak border barriers derived his knowledge mainly from a basic terrain research. On behalf of the research he tried to provide us with a brief but a systematic description of existing barriers connected with his speculation on their probable purpose. At the beginning he submits a short description of the situation especially at Soviet- German front from 1943, as well as in Slovakia from 1944 leading to building and planning of the mentioned barriers, together with the conditions the actions were taken. He stems mainly from the literature of German, Czech and Slovak provenance.
