The subject of the article is the assignment of hand reactive anti-tank weapons-bazookas. The subject was created on behalf of an archive research, especially at the Military History Institute in Bratislava and the Military Museum of the Slovak National Uprising in Banská Bystrica. The author also brings an interesting set of information on the development of the weapons. The most extensive focus is at the development of the German bazookas as they should have been mostly assigned in the Slovak Army in the National Uprising. However in the Uprising, thanks to the Allies supplies, the American bazookas was also used. Meanwhile the author focuses on the assignment of the weapons in the anti-tank training of the Slovak Army. He holds a belief that the usage of the weapons was limited to the training purposes of the 1st infantry, or 1st technical division and the troops of the East-Slovak Army. Based on the research the weapons were not assigned adequately in the artillery or in the fi ght actions. The author analyses the usage of the hand anti-tank weapons in the Slovak National Uprising.
