In his article the author deals with the military and war events in 1918/1919 and 1938 in the south-Slovak town Lučenec and the surroundings in connection with a controversial person of JUDr. Ľudovít Bazovský. In the report we can find the quotations of some not –yet-discovered materials from the period immediately aft er the WWI, as well as from the first days of the invasion into the south Slovakia by the Hungarians aft er the Vienna arbitrage. These records show a complicated structure of the Bazovsky personality, who has for the Slovaks in Novohrad, in the time before the WWI up to the years of 1920/1921, a highly positive influence as a Slovak nationalist and supporter of spreading Slovak books.
