For a comparison there is a study of A. Maskalík dealing mainly with the questions of the state and situation of the Czechoslovak Army (its Slovak units); namely he considers its internal issues and its commandership in the first years aft er the WWII in the light of the elimination of Ukraine Partisan Army (UPA) invasions in Slovakia. The author characterizes, analyses, and pinpoints at the real state of the Czechoslovak armed force in Slovakia trying to provide a real and objective evaluation of the situation of the Army (respecting the interior factors of the complex pre-war period; the material-technical state and equipment; as well as the quality of the commandership personnel – including the moral and the internal issues of the Army). Meanwhile the author follows the consequences of the drawbacks in the fights against the group of bandits – Banderovci; invading the country from 1945-47 from the south-east of Poland.
