The author stems from the rich sources of the military fund of SNM-Múzeum Červený Kameň, where there are three examples of side cold weapons (2 swords and 1 falchion) from the period of the high and late middle-age, which he describes. He later states that all of them are the results of the archaeological research in various levels of corrosion, without the preserved parts made of organic materials (the hilt covered with wood and leather). Surely they do not comprise a part of the original Pálfy collection in the castle Červený Kameň. The weapons came into the museum after the confiscation of in 1948 – 1957. None of them has been previously described.
