This contribution describes famous First crusade from the Byzantine point of view. The one of main aims was depict relations between Byzantine Emperor Alexius Comnenus and leaders of the First Crusade and results of this expedition from Byzantine side. Author describes political situation in Byzantium before the First Crusade and comprehensive narrative of whole expedition to Jerusalem including siege of Nicaea, battle of Doryleum, siege of Antioch and fall of Jerusalem in July 1099. The final part of this article is deditacated to main positives and negatives of the First Crusade to Byzantine Empire.
