The Study is a contribution to deeper knowledge of issues and associations of modernisation of the combat equipment of the former ČSĽA (the Czecho-Slovak People’s Army). The author focuses on mapping the process of development and production of the armoured carrier OT-62 TOPAS that was in the half of the 60s of the 20th century introduced to the armament of tank units. Main attention is given to issues of initialisation and development of the project as well as to removal of errors found during tests of produced prototypes.
